We recruit differently

We focus on your potential

We don’t fixate on ‘perfect fit’. As you search through our postings, focus on what role will stretch and challenge you in a fulfilling way. The interview will be an opportunity to learn more about the capabilities required to meet the role expectations and the opportunities for growth and advancement.

We allow you to showcase your capabilities

Our case study gives both us and our candidates an accurate understanding of what’s needed to succeed in a role and how you will use existing knowledge and transfer your skills to a likely project or scenario. Embrace the tight time constraints to show learning agility, adaptability and potential.

We think about culture add, not 'perfect fit'

We believe innovation comes from a diversity of thoughts, opinions and backgrounds. The ‘culture add’ lens we take in final interviews allows candidates to understand our organisation and gives us a chance to identify talent that will help us build a well-rounded and skilled team.

Instructions
To make this component work with other components you must:
  1. Add a background color to each section div on this page. This will ensure that the progress bar does not appear in other sections of the page.
  2. Make sure this page uses a page-wrapper div to wrap all components on the page. This, along with step 3, makes it possible to edit the content inside of the timeline.
  3. Add the timeline-on-page class to the page-wrapper and the main-wrapper class. This, along with step 2, makes it possible to edit the content inside of the timeline.
Step 1

Job application

Introduce yourself and make your case - why you, why Crimson and why this role?

Before you apply

How can I make sure my application stands out?

We consider every application, but there are a few things you can do to ensure your application shines. First, research Crimson and let us know why you’re interested in joining us. We love to see tailored CVs that give us a better sense of who you are and why you’re passionate about education. Second, carefully read our different job descriptions and only apply for the roles you’re truly interested in or that align with your experience.

Can I apply in any other language than English?

English is the working language of the company, so your application gives us a sense of your grasp of the language. While we highly value and even require additional languages (depending on the role), English is our global working language.

Can I re-apply for a role?

We appreciate seeing someone determined to join our team and if a role is still open and you feel like your circumstances have changed, feel free to submit a new application. We recommend adding something additional or reframing your application to give a different perspective.

After you apply

I’ve submitted my application! How long until I hear back?

We try to get back to all candidates within a few weeks of applying, but with high-demand roles, it may take a little longer. Feel free to email us if it’s been over a month since you submitted it.

Can I check the status of my application?

Given the volume of applications we receive, we cannot provide updates to candidates until we have made a decision.

Step 2

Video screen

Since we're mostly online, we conduct video screens to get an initial sense of what you're like. Relax and be yourself!

Video Screen

I’ve received an invitation to a video screen! Any advice?

We always like to remind candidates to be themselves. We want to see who you are as a person and the more authentic you can be, the better. And don’t worry about it being perfect. We’re all human and we all make small mistakes when we speak. Just make sure you are easy to hear, say what you want to say, and keep it brief!

I’m having technical issues. What should I do?

We recommend reaching out directly to TeamTailor for support, and they should get back to you in 24 hours. If you’re still having trouble, feel free to email the recruiter and see what other options are available.

Step 3

Interview

The interview. This is your chance to get to know us and our chance to get to know you.

First Interview

I’ve got an interview! What can I expect?

Congratulations! This first round depends on the role, but it usually involves meeting with the person who would be your direct manager. They will ask you about your background, your experience, and a few behavioral and technical questions. Because we are primarily remote, it’ll likely be a video interview. We’re quite casual at Crimson so If they like what they see, they’ll invite you to the next step.

Help! I can’t connect to my virtual interview.

No worries, we get it. Just let your interviewers know what’s going on. If, for whatever reason, you can’t continue, send an email to everyone cc’d on your interview confirmation. That way we can reschedule for a later time or day.

Can I get feedback on my interview?

We know how important feedback can be for ongoing career development, so we’ll always do our best to provide it when and where we can. There may be some instances where giving detailed feedback just isn’t possible, but we’ll let you know if this is the case.

How to prepare

How can I prepare for my interview?

Yes, we want you to show us you’re great at what you do. But we’re also considering a few other things: Do your values align with our values? Do you take ownership of your work and take pride in what you deliver? Are you adaptable? Are you collaborative? Are you driven? These are the questions we’ll be asking ourselves as we interview you. Make it easy for us to see how well you answer them.

Does Crimson provide reasonable accommodations during the interview process?

Of course! Please do reach out to your recruiter or recruitment coordinator about any additional needs you may have. We’re always happy to help and will do everything we can to accommodate you.

Step 4

Case Study

We want to know how you think. The case study gives us an insight into how you approach problems specific to the role you're applying to.

What to expect

I've gotten a case study. What do I do?

Study the ask carefully and consider it against the job description. What are we looking for and how can you best showcase it? At the same time, trust your intuition! We want to see how you would respond to the problem presented and get a sense of how you think.

What if I can't complete it in the alloted time?

We typically ask that you return your case study within 48 hours of receiving it, but we understand that life happens! If you are unable to complete it within the given timeframe, reach out to your recruiter and request an extension.

Step 5

Culture Interview

Come prepared, ask questions, and be sincere. Interviews are about finding a great match, for both sides.

Before you apply

I've been invited for a culture interview! How do I prepare?

Crimson is a unique environment and we need to ensure that this is the right match for both you and us. An individual who is a culture add is someone who not only aligns with Crimson’s values but also brings new skills and perspectives to the table. We want every new hire to raise the bar. Our advice is to  be yourself and familiarise yourself with our values.

I've completed the interview! What next?

Congratulations! You have completed our recruitment process. Once a final decision is made, you will hear back from your recruiter about how we would like to proceed.

Step 6

Offer

If you are excited about the role and we're excited about your candidacy, we'll officially invite you to join the Crimson team!

What to expect

When will I hear back after my final interview?

We’ll try our best to get back to you within a few days, although this can sometimes take a little longer if multiple candidates are interviewing for the same role. Feel free to follow up with your recruiter after the interview and reach out with any questions you may have.

What kind of compensation package do you offer?

The benefits depend on the role, but you will hear all of that and more in your discussion with your recruiter.
