We provide high-achieving students who need financial support with a comprehensive package of Crimson’s US admissions support, free of charge. The Class of 2026 CAO students received $8M+ USD in financial support!

Te Ara a Kupe Beaton Scholarship

Founded in 2017, this initiative was designed to support Māori students with expert guidance and resources that enable them to shine. Every year, five high-achieving Māori students are awarded scholarships to attend their dream universities around the world.

Crimson Youth Fund

This initiative was created to provide students or recent graduates with essential resources to bring their event or project to life. Available to young people ages 13 to 21, our philanthropic efforts help students give back to their communities with hackathons, robotics clubs and more.

We take a unique approach to sales and marketing at Crimson. Our team of experts focus on helping students reimagine their future with personalised education, and we aim to provide value to students through webinars, ebooks and more. 

Once we have an interested student, we create the best plan for them to succeed. Our Sales Development Representatives play a key role in understanding a student’s interests and whether Crimson is the right fit for them. Then our Academic Advisors connect with students one-on-one to explore their dreams and ambitions. Together with the student and their family, they craft a unique offering to help those dreams become realised, whether that’s tutoring help, research opportunities, or the full package of college counselling services we offer.

Our Finance team plays a fundamental role in making financial decisions across our departments. This includes the day-to-day management of our global accounting systems and processes, and payroll processing to employees & contractors, the annual budgeting process and group audit. The team also assists in the preparation of information for capital raising and they create the financial reports for management and statutory bodies.

The Legal and Compliance team at Crimson is a dynamic force ensuring the organization's legal integrity and ethical compliance. From negotiating contracts with partners, suppliers, and customers to offering strategic legal counsel to internal departments, our team plays a central role in Crimson's day-to-day operations. We are dedicated to safeguarding Crimson's intellectual property, supporting capital-raising efforts, mitigating legal risks, and facilitating global expansion into new geographies. Additionally, we champion the acquisition of various accreditations for Crimson Global Academy and coordinate seamlessly with external legal counsel to strengthen our legal standing. Through the creation, update, and enforcement of policies and procedures, we ensure that Crimson operates in full compliance with laws and regulations across the world, fostering a culture of ethics and excellence in all our endeavors.

Small but mighty, our People and Performance team drives recruitment, culture and performance by working closely with teams across the organisation. We drive the company’s approach of using radical candour to deliver feedback, meaning we challenge directly while caring personally, and this leads to high growth and development for all employees.

Melissa joined Crimson in 2021 as a part-time strategist. She quickly found herself in the perfect role. Later, she would elevate her status to Regional Team Lead for European Admissions becoming a champion for students in their journey to top-ranking universities throughout  Europe.  Under her leadership, Melissa has grown the EU division two-fold and pioneered a European Medicine division for medical applicants in Europe.  She is driven by a visionary perspective to raise awareness about the benefits of living and studying in countries such as the Netherlands, Italy, and Spain. A true advocate for Crimson's missions, Melissa dedicates her time to collaborating with her colleagues and hard-working students.

Kim embarked on her journey with Crimson as a parent, initially in marketing. Impressed by the transformative impact of US education, she joined the team and swiftly rose to Country Manager, driving remarkable growth in Australia. Relocating to the US, Kim assumed leadership of Crimson USA.

Her influence extends to a full rebuild of the US website, innovative marketing strategies, successful global partnerships, and fostering a high-performance culture. Kim's unfazed, relentless, and quietly competitive approach has been instrumental in shaping the success of Crimson.

Shadman Uddin

Shadman Uddin

Shadman Uddin, currently residing seasonally across NY, Atlanta, Los Angeles, and the Bay Area, is the general manager of Crimson's Graduate School Admissions. Recently completing a Master's in Education at Stanford, he delved into digital solutions for delivering education to secondary, postsecondary, and working learners. Prior to his graduate studies, Shadman engaged in various entrepreneurial ventures, including leading a co-living business, establishing a COVID testing site, and running a national startup accelerator. His experience also includes working in growth roles at edtech companies.

Driven by a passion for solving complex problems, especially those affecting a broad audience, Shadman believes in the profound joy of learning and values intentionality and authenticity. Outside of work, he enjoys reading books, playing basketball, and listening to music.

Soraya launched one of Crimson Education's fastest growing markets - U.A.E and is currently the Managing Director for Crimson MENA, where she leads regional strategy, business development and innovation for the whole region.Soraya holds a Bachelor’s degree in Middle Eastern and African studies; Anthropology and graduated Magna Cum Laude.

Soraya has experience living and working in UAE, NYC, SPB Russia, Vietnam, Jordan and NZ. Soraya recently matriculated from IBM Blockchain Accelerator after spending the last three years researching and working in refugee camps around Europe and the Middle East for Karvan, a blockchain-based fintech startup she founded after returning from Calais to Columbia. Karvan has been recognized in the Hult Social Impact Prize, the Columbia Innovation Award and the CTA Startup of the Year Prize.

Jamie founded the company at the age of 18 from Auckland, New Zealand. He graduated from Harvard University, Magna Cum Laude in 2016 (two years ahead of schedule) with a double-degree in Applied Mathematics-Economics and Applied Math. He was also one of the youngest in the world to be accepted to Stanford’s Graduate School of Business at age 20.  Jamie graduated from Stanford with an MBA in Computer Science and Education Technology - the youngest ever recipient of the Arjay Miller Award (Top 10% of his class) - having simultaneously begun his PhD as a Rhodes Scholar at Oxford. 

In 2016 Jamie was awarded NZ Innovation Councils’ Young Innovator of the Year and In 2017 he and Crimson co-founder Sharndre Kushor were featured on the 2017 Forbes Asia - 30 Under 30 List.

“FZ”  graduated from the Australian National University as the International University Scholar with two Bachelor’s degrees. He then studied Management Science & Engineering at Stanford University. Born in Shaanxi, China, FZ moved to New Zealand at the age of 16 and attended Rangitoto College. In his final year of high school, he became the first and only international student in the history of NZ to be named a Premier Scholar.

In 2017, he was named New Zealand Student Entrepreneur of the Year and in 2019, he was selected as a Schwarzman Scholar to pursue a Master of Global Affairs at Tsinghua University. Over the last eight years at Crimson, Fangzhou has advised hundreds of students around the world to help them access their dream universities and careers.

Yesha Sharma

Yesha has spent her career working in tech startups. After completing a Bachelor of Commerce, double majoring in Commercial Law and Taxation, she entered the People team ‘world’ first working in employee experience and operations.

Originally pursuing a career in Investor Relations, Yesha saw the strategic value that a People function brings to an organisation and since joining Crimson two years ago, has served across four different roles, from People and Performance Project Coordinator, Advisor, Senior Advisor and now Global Business Partner.

Sinead joined Crimson Education as a Community Experience Advisor, where she focused on developing learning and development opportunities to inspire and motivate the team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement. She expanded her impact to include the community of students at Crimson Global Academy with a week-long career fair and social days. Now she oversees recruitment for admissions consulting.
